Paloma's Solar Energy Explanation

How does solar energy work?

Intro

Did you know fossil fuels are bad for the environment?
Solar power is a renewable energy.

Why do we use fossil fuels not solar energy?

We use fossil fuels because they are cheaper than solar panels.
There are more fossil fuels than solar panels.

How can we collect solar energy?

We can collect solar energy with thermal collectors, solar sails photons and semiconductors.

What are photovoltaic cells?

They are dark panels on a calculator or satellites. They convert sunlight directly into energy.

What are the drawbacks?

They can’t get power that quickly. You need to cover your whole roof  with solar panels to get as much power as other houses without them. Solar panels are really expensive and it isn’t always sunny.

Conclusion,

I think we should use solar energy not fossil fuels, because fossil fuels are cheap and bad for the environment.
